These are my kiddos, Eli and Emilia.  

I'm one lucky mama.

I am an educator. I love using art, stories and nature as a vessel for all of our learning.  I believe our greatest calling in education is to nurture the dreams and imaginations of our little ones as we build their confidence as learners.  We place a critical importance in those imagined things here.  We want to build the stories and the visions that become our creations- our prideful moments of wonder.  We start from our hearts, bodies, hands then support our academic pursuits.

People usually like to know these things: I have a degree in Art History and Anthropology.  I have a multiple subject credential and a credential in Art.  I've taught all grades, TK-6th, for over a decade. When my son was born, I made my kids the center of my world.  I have worked in roles since that support their development and keep us close.  I have worked as an outdoor educator most recently and in Parks and Recreation.  I am an advocate for keeping our natural spaces natural, native gardening and play!

In our free time we can be found on the American River, at local museums, parks or enjoying time at home.
